Accucraft Rio Grand Southern Galloping Goose #4 with original boxes

Description

This is a beautifully detailed scale model of the Accucraft Rio Grand Southern Galloping Goose No. 4 AC78-138. Modelled after the 1930s RGS Geese with Pierce-Arrow automobile parts that could carry passengers, freight and mail with a one man crew. This is from a "collector's" collection still in the original boxes and styrofoam packing-only removed for the pictures. These Accucraft models offer exceptional fidelity to detail - I spend a lot of time out at the Colorado RR Museum where they run one or another of the Geese nearly every weekend, and the models are very accurate. Like New-Excellent condition and never run. Paint is excellent-no chips no scratches.  See pictures as part of condition. The boxes do show some wear from storage. Model has wiring for the head lights and when tested all are quite bright. (see first picture). This model is sound ready: Note the photos of the bottom of the goose, showing the round opening pre-made for the speaker of the sound system to be installed. The rear section sits over the front part after it has been plugged-it sits on a long stud on the powered unit.
Although this model is not designed to run on LGB track, I did test it on my home LGB layout, and it runs exceptionally smoothly-but will not go through the curve of an LGB 1200 series switch.
